Biography
Lauren has always been interested in words. As a child, she was always reading. She used to read the back of the cereal box at the breakfast table in the absence of a good book!
During her university years, this interest in reading and words lead to a natural progression of joining the university student newspaper as a copy editor. Lauren spent 3 years working as the head copy editor of the university newspaper and began looking into the world of freelance editing.
Since then, Lauren has worked a variety of jobs where her love and skill for words has come in very handy! Over the years, she has taken various courses in editing through Okanagan College and Simon Fraser University.
When Lauren isn’t reading, she can be found at the local circus (really!).
She is particularly interested in the following genres:
Fantasy (high fantasy, urban fantasy, YA fantasy, modern fantasy…whatever sub-genre you can think of!)
Romantasy
Thrillers (including crime thrillers)
Mystery
Coming of age novels
